A solunum cihazı, which was purchased with the proceeds from the İdil Biret concert held at the Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center on November 3rd as part of the “Every Note a Hope Project,” was delivered to the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Service of the Health Sciences University (SBÜ) İzmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital.
Speaking at the ceremony held at the oncology service, Ahmet Kemal Baysak, the Honorary Consul General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in İzmir, said that the Aegean Balkan Unity Platform and the İzmir Society for Children's Homes had carried out a very important project for the children undergoing treatment. Sevil Ozan, the President of the İzmir Society for Children's Homes, emphasized that İdil Biret’s participation in such an important project for sick children made them very happy. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Malbora, the Clinical Head of the hospital's Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, stated that the respiratory device was a small but significant donation in terms of what it could do, saying, “This device has the potential to save our children with respiratory distress from more intensive treatments in the intensive care unit. We have one of these devices in our service, but it wasn't enough.”
Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Emiroğlu stated that the two non-governmental organizations were examples with their work.
Nilüfer Güzel, the Art Consultant for the Every Note a Hope Project and a Piano Instructor at the Karşıyaka Municipality Conservatory, said, “I am as happy as a person can be today... For you, children! So that you can walk toward a brighter future! I offer my endless thanks to all your good intentions, efforts, the energy of your hearts, and everyone who contributed.”
