On Thalassemia Awareness Day, Governor Hasan Şıldak welcomed thalassemia patients, personally engaged with them, and boosted their morale. The President of the Bir Damla Kan Thalassemia Association, İbrahim Dizlek, along with association members, visited Şanlıurfa Governor Hasan Şıldak in honor of Thalassemia Awareness Day.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Barış Malbora provided Governor Şıldak with detailed information about thalassemia.
Governor Şıldak closely interacted with the patients and presented gifts to the children. Following the visit to the Governor's office, the thalassemia patients toured Göbeklitepe, and a press statement was made in front of the Tenzile Erdoğan Guesthouse.
In the press statement, the importance of Thalassemia Awareness Day was emphasized, particularly in raising public awareness and promoting understanding about thalassemia carrier screening before marriage.
